Ukrainica

“Ukrainica” was inspired by Picasso’s 1937 “Guernica”, the most famous painting condemning civilian murder. 

Artists can’t do much other than record horrific events.  After learning about atrocities in Ukraine, “Guernica” immediately came to mind.  I felt compelled to connect these two historical tragedies.
